Focus point support in future release?

Recommended Posts

@daklakfoto, by your screen shot you don't have the Show AF Regions  checked. You need to check the box.

Also @Gabe, requested you to attach a RAW file so he can further investigate it.

Yes I am aware of that.  HOwever, that checked box is grayed out on my Affinity.  I have tried this on production, and Beta and with various files.

I shoot with D850, 70-200/24-70.  I know the focus is there, but just wanna to see it.

Can you attach a RAW file, as Serif has requested?

If you want some more I can also attach as it only seems to work for CR2/CR3 images. Sony & Fujifilm images have the Show AF Focus greyed out.

Sad to hear these.  It looks like somehow, this issue has escaped the QA.

I can confirm the problem for nef files of my D7200. Show AF Focus is always greyed out in the latest beta and in the latest productive version too.

If I remember correctly, when they implemented it they said it would work for some cameras, and they've never given a list of which ones.

Don't bother sending RAW files to Serif; it doesn't work at all or not with most cameras.

I checked with Nikon RAW files (several cameras old and new), Sony, Olympus and Panasonic.

A test case idea, right there.

Hi @daklakfoto,

Can you attach a sample RAW file so we can have a look?

I think it only works with Canon RAW files. Opening any of my own RAW files from Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Olympus and Panasonic cameras results in a grey box in Photo.

Found this for you:

This Canon RAW file does show focus points:
