jason51
Ruler in Photo gives different measurement depending whether I use cm or mm. In centimeter it seems correct. When I switch to millimeters, it show 12,5 mm for 1 cm. Also, in mm it shows 20 where (from the marks) it should read 25. Could be an older issue, since it's there in 1.8.3 and 1.8.4.184 (beta) as well. See screenshots. Not that big a thing in a really great application, though I thought I should mention it. First, your line in the ruler does not line up with the edge of the image. Second, there are only 4 small divisions per larger division when in mm, vs 5 when in cm. Your line is at 8.5mm (easier to see if you set a guide). If you move it over to 10mm it should exactly hit the edge of the image. jason51
I see, thank you. Did not look closely enough. Still not beautiful. In a decimal metric system, one would not expect larger divisions at 4 stops. Rather at 5 or 10. 1 Centimeter is 10 Millimeters, after all. (Besides, the position of that marker was accidental and misguiding in so far.) rgds, joachim
walt.farrell
Others have wondered at the use of 4 divisions, too. And probably requested a change. I don’t think we should give up hoping for this much-needed change.
