Is there a way to display two tabs side by side?

Recommended Posts

As far as I know you would have to use Windows > Separated Mode else the tabs will be overlayed, there is no split view in the non-separated GUI

Could you please give a hint where to find that Separated Mode?

In Menu Windows there are the options to float and to dock documents.
Had a look into the preferences but did not find anything ...

Separated Mode is an OS feature which is only available on a Mac. The Windows versions of the Affinity apps currently lack the ‘Cascade’ and ‘Tile’ options which are commonly available in other Windows software products.

On Windows you can go to Window > Float or Float All if you want all the documents to float. You can also drag a tab to float it. To dock a document, drag a window into another and its tab will appear after any existing tabs (e.g. place Document A into Document B and the new tab order will be B then A).

Yep, that's possible but a little bit awkward. Like many others I am used to Adobe products. There you can show two files side by side with one click ...

Running Windows you can use commands like Win-key + arrow-keys to arrange documents windows. But then you overlap menu bar etc.
