Outlines bug?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just acquired the iPad version, and I try to erase a layer with another one. However, the outline of the first layer is still visible

Examples:

Layer A: circles green, no stroke or outline fx

Layer B:  smaller circles, mode erase, green, no stroke, or outline fx.

The layer A is erased just fine by layer B, but a small outline is still visible from Layer A, even if B erase half of the border of layer A.

Is it a bug or I did something wrong? The iPad and its ecosystem are new to me, so I didn't find the screen capture yet, haha.

How to take a screenshot on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

(The forum anti-spam features dictate that as a new member you wouldn’t have been able to attach a screenshot to you very first post, anyway!)

Edit: I’m not seeing the effect that you mention.

You may have Show Snapping Candidates turned on?, a thin pink line shows through covering layers to assist in selection. It can be turned off in Doc menu/snapping settings

I recall reporting a similar issue with clipping in an early beta but can’t recall the outcome. I. suspect it was something to do with a setting available on desktop but not implemented in iPad version?

You can see in attached screen recording that the issue is caused by clipping the layers.

The problems was solved.

Yes there are workarounds but it shouldn’t be necessary to apply workaround if the feature worked properly. 🙂
