MapleGuy
Hello, I just acquired the iPad version, and I try to erase a layer with another one. However, the outline of the first layer is still visible Examples: Layer A: circles green, no stroke or outline fx Layer B: smaller circles, mode erase, green, no stroke, or outline fx. The layer A is erased just fine by layer B, but a small outline is still visible from Layer A, even if B erase half of the border of layer A. Is it a bug or I did something wrong? The iPad and its ecosystem are new to me, so I didn't find the screen capture yet, haha.
Alfred
Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @MapleGuy. 4 hours ago, MapleGuy said: The iPad and its ecosystem are new to me, so I didn't find the screen capture yet, haha. How to take a screenshot on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (The forum anti-spam features dictate that as a new member you wouldn’t have been able to attach a screenshot to you very first post, anyway!) Edit: I’m not seeing the effect that you mention. DM1
You may have Show Snapping Candidates turned on?, a thin pink line shows through covering layers to assist in selection. It can be turned off in Doc menu/snapping settings Alfred 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). DM1
I recall reporting a similar issue with clipping in an early beta but can’t recall the outcome. I. suspect it was something to do with a setting available on desktop but not implemented in iPad version? You can see in attached screen recording that the issue is caused by clipping the layers. MapleGuy
I found a way to correct the issues, I created a empty group and but the layer in it. The problems was solved. SPaceBar and Jeasy Geraldine 1

Yes there are workarounds but it shouldn’t be necessary to apply workaround if the feature worked properly. 🙂 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). SPaceBar
Hi @MapleGuy I have managed to recreate this, it is a known issue so I have passed your information on to the development team. It's great to see that you are able to work around it. Thanks for sharing your temporary solution. 👍
