Artistic Filters

Recommended Posts

I'm really exited to see how much I can create with affinity's solutions, and I would like to be able to use some artistic filters gallery. Something to convert a photo into a oil paint style, watercolor, charcoal draw, mosaic, textures, distort, styles, etc.

Hi jarcon.
Well what do you know, I'v just been playing with this idea myself!
As fare as textures go you can add paint or canvas textures to an image in AP in a Lighting Layer

I looked on the net for "Oil brush textures" and then brought one into a Lighting Layer as a bump map.
Works nicely I think.

Hi rosa glad you and the others liked it!
Here's the Google search I did for textures: https://www.google.es/search?q=oil+paint+texture&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CCcQsARqFQoTCIO0yvuyoccCFUY8FAodlskCbQ&biw=1575&bih=867#imgrc=_
Even without loading a specific texture you can still get an interesting effect by playing with the Texture slider in the Lighting Layer.
