Dutch not available in Publisher, but it is already on my mac

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a problem with the dictionary in Affinity Publisher. I really need Dutch in Publisher. Yes, I read the FAC 'How do I add additional Dictionaries to Affinity Publisher?' The Dutch (Nederlands) language is on my Mac, is selected in system preferences ànd I downloaded and added the Hunspell files to ~/Library/Spelling as proposed in the FAC below, but still it doesn't appear in Publisher. I add some screenshots. I use Mac os 10.14. What could have gone wrong???

If you have the dictionary files installed properly then you should see Dutch available in the Language, Spelling section of the Character studio panel:

Can you create a Text Frame, double-click in it to set the cursor, then give us a screenshot of that pulldown in your Character panel?

(Also, have you restarted Publisher since you installed those files?)
