How do I export without flattening everything ?

Recommended Posts

I need to make a file that could be open by Adobe Illustrator, which contains every single layer, including hidden ones. No matter what I choose between the different types of SVG, Affinity Designer flattens the image into a single layer and discards everything that’s hidden ! I have no idea what I’m doing wrong, I really need help

I am interested in this too.  Trying to get a file that can be opened by a sign maker to use on their laser cutter was impossible.  It should be easy to export these vectors.

Hi AmyLucyRose,

Hidden layers will be removed on export when exporting to formats such as SVG I'm afraid. Please could you provide a copy of the file in question so I can try this at my end?

Thanks

C
