jrkay
They used to be so colourful but with Version 1.8.3.641 they are now all grey on Windows 7. I'd like them properly coloured please. I hope this doesn't mean that we ols OS users haven't been abandoned like Microsoft has.
Alfred
Do you have a document open, John? If so, perhaps you’ve accidentally switched on the ‘Monochrome Iconography’ option. jrkay
Thanks Alfred, only where may I find this option please? This is where I miss the search option in pageplus, the search option in Publisher doesn't take you straight to the mention of that worh in the Help. Finding anything is a bit of a long reading excercise.

Well, I'm not Alfred 😉 but look (in Windows) for 'Edit > Preferences > User Interface > Monochromatic Iconagraphy'. This turns these icons grey if there is no document open. d. jrkay
Thank you both, I made sure that this was unticked and restarted Publisher and they came back in colour. Alfred

I think the ‘Monochrome Iconography’ option should keep the icons grey at all times, but since I’m currently on my iPad I can’t check on how APub behaves. I also can’t check the Help within the app, so I searched the online version of the Preferences topic and discovered that many of the entries have definitions without the related headings: it’s the same for Photo and Designer.
