photoshop1.0
If I use Unsharp Mask on a raster layer, and adjust the filter's settings while keeping an eye on the level of sharpness using the filter's preview, the preview of the sharpness does not resemble the actual sharpness that will result after I hit "Apply". After hitting "Apply", the image ends up being extremely oversharpened — wildly sharper than what was shown in the filter's preview. I have proven that this is actually happening by repeating exactly the same steps several times on a simple 100x100px RGB image. Is this beyond frustrating? You bet. John Rostron
@photoshop1.0, Are you viewing your image at 100% zoom? This is the only way to properly assess sharpening.
