Didacticus
When using layer effects and applying a contour to a vector graphics is there a way to convert the beforementioned outline to vector so that I can export the shape as a whole? Or is there a way other apps can recognize this so that I don't have to create the vector there as well?
firstdefence
Any layer fx will force rasterisation. Maybe show what you are trying to achieve maybe it can be done as a vector? Didacticus
Well, here you can see an example (see imaged atached below, interface is in Spanish). As you can see the bounding box of the V has only got the vector part inside, the outline is outside of it because it's a layer effect I guess. Well, the thing is, I want to make all that a single shape. A thing with rounded corners and with anchor points I can change.
Alfred
The V currently has a 1 pt transparent stroke. Instead of using a layer effect, why not simply increase the width of the stroke and give it the same colour as the fill? Additional to @Alfred's hint: Possibly you want to apply from the AD menu "Layer" > "Expand Stroke" to achieve a single shape (without separate stroke) ? >> >> Alfred and Didacticus 2 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
