Can I make one of my grid presets the default in Designer?

Recommended Posts

I would like to use one of my grid presets as a default.  Now when I create a new artboard in inches, it gives me a 1" spaced grid.  Would prefer to see my default without having to open grid manager.  Any way to do this?

You can have the grid appear when starting a new document but it will be based on the Automatic option and not a custom preset. It does mean opening the grid manager and selecting your preset for each new document.

All the Affinity apps now support templates via File > New

So, you should be able to set up some templates for the Artboard sizes you use which include your preferred grid preset

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Thank you, that exactly what I was hoping for.
