Baz101
Hi Everyone, New (and clueless) owner of the Affinity suite I'm trying to create a rectangle shape with text, on a transparent background. I want to then remove the text so that the shape and text is now on a transparent background (similar to a letter stencil). I also have Affinity Designer, if that is more suitable for this task. Any advice will be gratefully appreciated! Thanks. Baz
PixelPest
Should be easy: 1. draw rectangle 2. Type text upon 3. select both objects and go Layer->Geometry-Subtract Or add the text "inside" ("Insert inside of selection") the rectangle and set Blend mode to "Erase" and text will stay editable. When you just need transparent text or objects over images set the Blend mode to "Erase". Cheers
