F_Wickstrom
Hello! I've now spent an ungodly amount of time on this without any luck: How do I mask out part of a vector object? Please see attached example picture. If I draw the letter "A" on a background, but want to subtract the "ring" inside of the letter, to make the background image visible. I want it to be a vector mask/shape and not a pixelated one. I suspect it will be something stupid easy. Hopefully... Thanks in advance! Staff MEB Posted June 30, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 30, 2020 Hi F_Wickstrom, Welcome to Affinity Forums Select both the A letter and the black shape then go to menu Layer > Geometry > Subtract or click the corresponding icon in the main toolbar (second icon in the greyed out group after the snapping group). F_Wickstrom
Fantastic, thank you so much! That was even more straight forward than I thought. Thanks again!
