xSavgs
There is a weird gray box that keeps appearing and I don't know what I am doing to make it appear. I can't make it go away even after settings reset. Anyone help? I think i must be clicking something on accident
Alfred
That’s the bleed box. Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
xSavgs
Hiya @Alfred, I turned the Show Bleed Option off but it still shows, any reason?
Alfred
It shows because your design extends beyond the bleed area. Is that not what you you want? xSavgs
I just want it to go away. I don't find it useful and it just annoys me.
Wosven
Since there's only one "grey box", I suppose it's the limit of the area of your document. With bleed you would see 2.

Go to Document Setup (in Designer it is File > Document Setup) and set the Bleed to 0 (zero) inches/picas/mm/pixels. Old Bruce
Which program made the file? Which program is displaying the file? Does this happen to all files both new and reopened? Old Bruce
Then the box is probably an actual box not the bleed. and again Which program made the file? Which program is displaying the file? Staff MEB Posted June 29, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 29, 2020 Hi xSavgs, That line indicates the limit/edge of the canvas area - there's no way to remove it. You probably only noticed it now because the blue rectangle on the bottom of the layers stack is larger than the canvas making it more prominent but this line is present in all documents (although less perceptible if there's no objects crossing the canvas).
