CylonRaven
Can you create a paragraph style that specifies a drop cap in a different font from the main paragraph text? Right now, I have to manually change the font of the drop cap letter. And then it doesn't line up correctly. See below - in Microsoft Word, the drop cap looks nice and even, but in Publisher, not so much.
firstdefence
Create a Character style and call it something like "Drop Caps Font Family" From the Paragraph Style: Drop Caps section, the last parameter is a style option, you should be able to select the character style you created in step one. Old Bruce
When I use the Drop Cap feature I do as firstdefence says but I will set everything to [no change] and have it based on the Paragraph style. Then I can go to the Character Style and change only the font. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Peter Tucker
Please tell me how I can change the size of the Drop Cap. I have setup a Character Style and tried changing to another size, but nothing does actually change. However making changes to Horizontal & Vertical Scale allows me to adjust in %ages to top line adjust the Cap Height to match the following body text. CylonRaven
What worked for me was creating a Drop Caps character style, and then a Chapter First Paragraph paragraph style in which the first character is the Drop Caps style.
