Publisher exporting incorrect pdf names

Recommended Posts

I have a document, "Butch Callaway", which I used as a template for a new document, "Al Yancey".  I gutted a lot of info, added new content, and saved as "Al Yancey"..  Everything went well until I exported the doc as a PDF.  Adobe still shows the title of the PDF as "Butch Callaway Editable PDF".

Please advise.  Thank you!

This text is from the document information - you can edit it from the Fields panel:

If you save the document with a new name the title in the Fields panel won't get updated. Unfortunately you have to do this manually.

If the original document title "Butch Callaway Editable PDF" is embedded in your .aftemplate file, you may want to remove the text from that field & resave it as a new .aftemplate file for future work.

That way, the next time you use the template, its title field should automatically be set to the file name you use when you save it as a regular file.

When he writes about Adobe, it's really not so obvious.

Unless you read - and understand - what he actually wrote.

P. S. I expected @BlueSailing to understand the hint and correct the text of its post.

Sigh. You were just wrong. Never hurts to admit it.
