All sculpt strokes have to drawn three times to smooth

Recommended Posts

Basically, every time I see a kink (and they happen so very often, even with smoothing on), I need to draw at least three to five strokes over the same area in order to smooth it out:

This is very time consuming.

There’s a lot of nodes there, could delete a couple and smooth over again. Or adjust fidelity settings for the pencil tool, so less points are created when you initially draw, thereby creating an easier set of nodes for the smooth function to deal with 🤷🏻‍♂️

How do you do this? Are you referring to ipad?

Now that I think of it, I’m pretty sure it’s just the desktop version where fidelity settings can be tweaked. But I’ll include a video below recorded on my iPad on a way you might approach handling your line work:

I’m using the Pencil, with the Rope Stabiliser turned on, it seems to auto-smooth on the fly, so that might help (and obviously delete individual nodes if there are too many). The second example, I use the Pen tool to draw a line, which can then be adjusted by selecting all/individual nodes, and then selecting Round Corners tool to smooth. The second method is what I use all the time to trace over my sketches. Might help
