What is the most effective and easy way to shape the right picture like the left one?

Thank you so much for your help!

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Julius. :)

You can create a shape like the left-hand one by subtracting a small round-cornered rectangle from a larger one. Then go to the Layers panel, drag the shape layer and drop it onto the thumbnail of the picture layer to crop the picture to the new shape.
