Hi there, I recently created a new color and saved it as a Global Color so that I can use it for future documents. how do I find the colors I've saved and use them in a new document? Have I even saved it correctly? Should it be saved as a Global color, as registration color or something else please? Thanks very much

Global colors exist only in Document Palettes. Thus, they are specific to a document.

If you want to use your global color in a different document, you will need to:

  1. Create the Document Palette in your first document with the global color.
  2. Export it as a .afpalette file.
  3. Create the new document, and then import your .afpalette file as a Document Palette.

Now that Affinity supports templates, you could also do step 1, then instead of step 2 you could File > Export as Template... and then, when creating a new document in step 3 you can start with the template that you exported. Then your new document will automatically have that document palette available for you to use.
