quaSimba
Hey there, I encountered a bug which lets my Publisher crash everytime I attempt to export a certain IDML file as a PDF (I haven't tried it with other IDML files). As soon as I select "PDF" from the export panel, Publisher shuts down. This also happens when using a .afpub generated from that IDML. It doesn't happen on my Windows 10 version. Hope you can resolve this soon Quote Windows 10 Pro x64 – Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2 3.30 GHz – NVIDIA GTX
Staff Gabe Posted June 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 24, 2020 Hi @quaSimba, Without seeing your afpub and the idml file, there's not much we can do. Can you attach them here?
quaSimba
The template isn't mine, so I cannot share it with you. I cannot remove the contents from the IDML and save it as an IDML (because it automatically converts to .afpub). However, I stripped it of its contents and attached the .afpub, which it's still crashing. I hope it helps. buggy-template.afpub Quote Windows 10 Pro x64 – Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2 3.30 GHz – NVIDIA GTX
Staff Gabe Posted June 25, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 25, 2020 I can provide a private link if that's helpful. https://www.dropbox.com/request/XWZgAQX5LJ7lqEZ9pxAY The attached file exports fine for me, and nothing crashes. What are your export settings? Can you attach a screenshot of the "More" dialog?

Baril
I tried to export buggy-template.afpub of @quaSimba on my machine and it works. Being empty, probably works. @Gabe, I took the liberty to attach you on your private link my .afpub/idml file. I hope this is not too intrusive. thanks, b. Staff Gabe Posted June 25, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 25, 2020 @Baril, Welcome to the forums. Your file seems fine on my end, so it must be resources related. can you zip up and attach all your linked files?
Baril
hi Gabe, thank you for your feedback. can you export it without any problem?? Staff Gabe Posted June 26, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 26, 2020 You could try this and see if it's fine for you. I can send you an upload link, but will probably take a while to upload all. I suspect it might be something we have already fixed in the latest beta. Make a copy of your afpub file, open in in the latest beta and see if it's fine https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/57-publisher-beta-on-mac/
Baril
Thank you @Gabe Meanwhile, I discovered that the problem occur when an image has a certain color CMYK profile assigned and i am using buit-in presets. It works well if the image doesn't have assigned any specific CMYK profile, or I choose. But if I want to convert it in RGB, I have the error. If I choose CMYK color space, it works. I also noticed therea are problems with AfPhoto in opening some tiff files made in photoshop. I have to open them in Photoshop, uncheck any color profile, then I am able to open them in Affinity. Can you address this issue? my bests,
