wickedmonkey
Hi there is a feature in Photoshop CC that allows you to change the perspective of a building in a photo. Does Affinity Photo have such a feature? It appears like it does in the Help items but can't figure it out... Help! Is there a tutorial anywhere? o.tiff
A_B_C
Hi wickedmonkey, and welcome here … the Perspective Tool can be found in the tool bar, just as seen on my screen shot below. Unfortunately I do not know about a tutorial video … :( Cheers, Alex
wickedmonkey
Thanks for the reply. I see the tool but I can't seem to fix the perspective on an object inside the photo. It appears I can only change the perspective of the entire photo and distorting the other objects around it. Please see the file I attached to the original post as that shows what I WANT to achieve - but can't seem to do.
A_B_C
Hi again, I am not quite sure which file you are talking about … the tiff image? Indeed, the perspective tool works either on the whole document or on a pixel selection within the document. But I tried to quickly recreate the first part of the Photoshop tutorial you uploaded, and I came pretty close by using the Dual Plane mode of the Perspective Tool (see my video). Have you tried this? Please observe that in the Photoshop example it is not only the object (the museum building) that is warped perspectively, but indeed the whole image on the canvas (see from 2:45 onwards) … Does my example help? Cheers, Alex :) EDIT Deleted attachment due to upload limits. anon1
wickedmonkey
Hi Alex, Yes, that is exactly what I want to do. Can you walk me through how you did it if you have time? Thanks so much. m
anon1
I hope this helps: 1. select the Perspective Tool 2. in the info panel/ floating panel change the mode to dual plane 3. then you want to set the "mode" to Source which will allow you to place the grid 4. then change the mode to destination and this will distort the image while you drag the grid 4.1 note that shift constrains the handle drag as stated in the bottom line A_B_C

anon1
I thought I could do this for because you already made the nice short video which also helped me cause I didn't knew the option was nested in there (y)
