Erwin2
Affinity Publisher 1.8.3 iMac, OS X Yosemite BUG?
Staff Jon P Posted June 19, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 19, 2020 This is intentional, you have converted it away from an Image object and to a Curve one, so it is no longer a resource inside the document. I noticed I can have more than one items inside a Picture Frame whereas only one of them shows the indicating icon in its layers thumbnail – but I would not expect that it does not work if only 1 item exists inside which was placed via layer's drag & drop. Even copy + "Paste Inside" via menu doesn't maintain the Picture Frame's options. Note in this screenshot the missing icon on the image layer's thumbnail + the X in the Picture Frame, indicating to be empty: Even if intentional and coded "by design": this two possible and quite 'normal' workflows will confuse users by not working properly at least – and might make them get familiar with the Picture Frame object in an unintended way, not noticecing at all the special advantage of Picture Frames.
