Publisher Grayscale PDF export turns my photos yellow

Recommended Posts

I have my Color format set to Gray/16 and my Color profile set to D50 for a book project.

When I look at my B&W photos laid out in publisher, they display properly. But when I export them as PDFs, they gain a yellow tint. See examples attached to this post.

Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Where do I find the export settings menu? The help search bar didn't have a listing for it.

General settings

The following general settings can be adjusted from the Export dialog:

  • Format—select the format thumbnail for your exported file. Export formats include PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PSD, PDF, SVG, EPS, EXR and HDR.
  • Preset—sets predefined export options for the selected file format. Select from the pop-up menu. As well as the default application presets, this pop-up menu can contain custom presets.
  • Raster DPI—select the resolution to which unsupported elements in the publication will be rasterized.
  • Area—instead of exporting All spreads or All Pages, you can export the Current Spread (with Facing pages enabled) or Current Page too, if an object is selected.
  • Pages—enter the page number(s) you would like to include in the export. You may only do this if you have selected All Pages or All Spreads from the Area setting.
  • Include bleed—when selected, any Bleed set in Document Setup will be included in the output.
  • Moreaccesses advanced settings for the chosen file format.
