Paleoentomologist
How can I draw spines and bristles (lines that decrease in width to nothing) on Affinity Designer? Thanks for your input.
lepr
Welcome to the Affinity forums! One way is to use the pressure curve of a stroke. Even if you do not use a pressure sensitive input device, you can simulate pressure by editing the pressure curve - see the app Help or the online version: https://affinity.help/designer/English.lproj/pages/Painting/pressure.html By the way, the Title field when starting a new topic in the forum is for indicating the topic of your post, such as "How do I draw tapered lines?". appearsharmless
An easy way to do this if you want to keep your spines and bristles pure vector is to use the pen tool: 1) Click once to lay down a sharp node 2) Click to lay down a second sharp node 3) Click back on the first node 4) Switch to the node tool and pull on the curve segments, handles, and nodes to adjust to your liking. bristle.mp4 Alfred 1 Quote iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019)| MacOS (Probably latest stable build) Affinity Designer|Affinity Photo|Affinity Publisher
