Michael Hopcroft Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 I just picked up a Monoprice drawing tablet for my PC, which has the Affinity Suite and several other programs on it. So my purchase is decided. What I want to know is what to expect from the combination of software and tablet. How well do the programs get along with tablets? Are there known issues any of the programs has with tablets in general (not necessarily specific makes or models)? are there any specific things not to do if you want things to work? so the question is not whether to get a tablet -- that's decided. The question is whether to use it with Designer and/or Photo or to use some other software for those tasks. Quote
firstdefence Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 Using a tablet can take a bit of getting used to but if you stick with it, it can be really cool, I’ve never heard of Monoprice so I googled them and also Monoprice in conjunction with Affinity I think the topics that are listed will help you understand some of the issues that you might encounter but a lot of the posts are 3 and 4 years old so maybe the drivers and affinity have gotten better with regard to compatibility. As with most things, the only way to find out if something works is to do. Darren S Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Interested to hear of any feedback with regards to using Affinity Photo and tablets. Try as I might, I'm simply too cumbersome with a mouse pointer and would prefer the dexterity offered by a tablet and stylus. Quote
