Releasing compound path

Hey guys. I know the term Compound Path doesn't go with Affinity Designer. But I think it makes more sense if you've used Adobe Illustrator before.

So this is a curve which is one single object. What I'd like to do is break it into pieces. Is it possible in Affinity Designer?

Layer > Geometry > Separate

You can also use the Layer > Geometry > Divide button in the main toolbar of the app for the object in your example, but be aware that Divide currently has problems when more than two objects are selected and I tend to avoid using it when there is another way to get something done.
