AntiqueFlaneur
I've got numerous images with caption boxes underneath them in a project. The boxes are surrounded by a border/stroke, which you control through the text frame menu (View -> studio -> text frame) by turning on the stroke. But how can I add a similar outline to the whole image, so the caption does not stick out so much? See attached pic for an example. Thanks! firstdefence
Add a stroked rectangle as an overlay. Fixx
Select the photo and use Stroke panel. You can set the stroke to be behind the image so it will not eat image area and can be set to be similar to caption border.
GarryP
In addition to the advice above, you can put a Picture Frame and a Text Frame inside a rectangle which has a Stroke. This allows you manipulate the whole thing and resize it in different ways depending on what you want. See attached video. 2020-06-11_09-12-56.mp4
thomaso
Last but not least you can... ... assign the stroke directly to the picture frame ... and place the text frame inside the picture frame (with or without a separate stroke for the text frame). picture frame w boarder & text frame inside.m4v Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 only
