On older devices with a home button you could free up ram by closing other apps then press the power button until the slide to power off message appeared, then press and hold the home button until the password keypad appears. On newer devices without a home button it is quicker to close other apps, power the iPad off then on again to free up resources. Quote My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools….
