I just watched the 'beginner's video'. Great stuff, but I can't get the inpainting brush to work. In the video it shows that the selected area goes red, then when relesed it 'takes out' the unwanted area. Well, nothing changes when I do that... it doesn't go red, and it doesn't change anything in the photo. What am I doing wrong?

Check what kind of layer you have selected - make sure it's not an adjustment, filter, mask etc., then click, hold, and drag to select the area to Inpaint. Release the button and it'll then do its magic.

Thanks for that. :) It seems that I was trying to use the brush too close to the edge when I started. As soon as I started away from the edge it all worked.

However, the area selected ended up looking offset to the rest of the surrounding area? Does this happen when the area selected has different depths to it? Hope that makes sense. lol
