Hello I make some menus those days and noticed that after I'm almost done with the menu and correct the wording here and there there is some slowdown that I pinned down to high CPU usage while using the type tool to just type in.

Any idea what the problem is? I have 3000 fonts and use a manager, is it possible that this is the problem? The menu itself barely use 3 fonts.

Current Workstation:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 - MOBO: Asus B450 - RAM: 16GB DDR4 2667Mhz - GPU: AMD Radeon 7850 1GB
NVMe SSD: Crusial P3 1TB M.2 -  SSD: Samsung Evo 850 256GB  - PSU: XFX TS450 - OS: Win10

Just confirmed, it is not of the many fonts. I changed to a smaller list with just 130 ones and still see high CPU while typing.

They weird part is that this happens after a little while working and not from the start, I will check windows font cache next.

ok I pinned down the problem.

If I write above the graphics the high CPU usage happens.

If I take the text box outside the artbox it works normally.

I attach the file for farther examination or replication of the problem (the fonts not included but it doesn't matter, change it to times new roman or whatever, it did the same).

My CPU usage went up to around 30% when editing the text both as it opened and moving the text frame outside of the artboard. Try right clicking the bottom layer and Rasterising and then check the CPU usage when editing the text.

ok I did and the CPU usage dropped to 25-30%, still lags however. Like a lot.

Do you experience lagging? I mean I type fast without looking at keyboard but not very fast, I may type a whole paragraph and the program have barely displayed a little more than half of it.
