Editing photos after using Luminar 4 to adjust exposure

I want to use Luminar 4 in combination with Affinity Photo. I use Luminar 4 to adjust expose and some lighting details before going for indepths editing in Affinity Photo. But I've been told by Skylum support tech that I would need an extension plugin from Affinity support to allow Luminar to be used to open Affinity for editing....WHere can I get such an extension plug in?

Could you not simply save your image from Luminar as a .tiff. Then you can load the .tiff into Affinity.  If Affinity Photo is set as the default program to open .tiff files, then your saved .tiff might well open automatically in Photo. (This might depend on your OS.)
