Is there a preview mode on Designer?

Recommended Posts

Is there some way to turn off all the lines that surround every object in any artwork? I think Publisher has a Preview mode in the View menu and it's really useful for looking at the document without all the boxes!

The weird thing is that when the document is opened first time, it's entirely free of these boxes. Then, the moment that you touch the first one, it's box appears and stays on screen. Each time another element is touched, it's box just stays there and eventually, the whole screen is a mess!

Is there a way to remove these things?

Do you mean pink outlines? If yes, uncheck "Show Snapping Candidates" in the Snapping tool (magnet icon). If no, I have no clue without a screenshot showing what you mean.

YES! That brilliant, thank you guys.

How will turning this off affect snapping though? Isn't there a video tutorial of snapping functions somewhere - I'm sure I saw one before?

Found it in the Tutorials section, (no surprise there!)

"Show snapping candidates" affects only the drawing of the purple outlines; it doesn't affect the snapping being operational.
