Zephod
When loading generative artwork - Affinity Designer slows down to unbearable levels even with relatively easy meshes This problem seems to exist on all platforms affinity runs on - which leads me to believe basic acceleration structures are not in place. Example file:https://tilings.math.uni-bielefeld.de/img/substitution/danzers-7-fold/patch.pdf Import this, try select all/ungroup/do anything to it -> framerate down to 1fps even on the beefiest of workstations Same issue can be recreated by creating any shape and copying it about 100 times. Staff Sean P Posted June 8, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 8, 2020 Hi Zephod, Are you able to get a screen recording showing the performance you are getting please? Whilst I'm getting a little bit of slowdown, it's not 1fps. See attached recording. With that said if I do a 'Select All' and then move everything around it is much slower. I have spoken to development, and they have said that the performance should be better than that! So I will get it passed over to be looked at! My current machine is a Core i7 6700k, 16GB DDR4 Ram, Geforce 970, Win 10, Samsung 870 Evo SSD. PatchPDFImport.mp4 Display
