Pasting text gives style of source rather than Master?

Recommended Posts

I'm finding that when I copy text from a word processing document and paste it into a Affinity Publisher text frame, I get the paragraph style of the source document rather than the style I assigned to the text frame using a Master.  I have to re-apply my Style every time I paste in text.

What am I missing?  Is there a "Paste and Match Style" option somewhere that I am overlooking?  If so, it doesn't seem to be in the Edit menu where I would expect to find it.

I apologize if this has been previously answered.  I did a search and checked the FAQs, and hunted on Google but found nothing relevant to my question.

Isn't there an Edit > Paste Without Formatting?

(I'm away from the computer right now.)

Try this, place the text caret in the text frame and choose Edit > Paste Inside. When I do that the Frame's Paragraph style is applied.

Expletive, now it doesn't work.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
