Affinity What does this orange gradient in my layers mean?

Recommended Posts

Thank very much Telemax,  I don't know what I do, but all the layer have this orange gradient and can't select them, in the panel symbol I don't hace any symbol create.

In my specific problem, is I can't select any layer, but the layer are not locked. I don't know if is for there are symbols, or what's the problem.

Originally I think was the symbol orange gradient. But now I don't  know if is the symbol gradient or something else.

On your video, the root symbol's layer is hidden above. Scroll up your layers panel.

Layer (Master A) not visible.

You seem to be in Publisher, where the orange bar indicates that the contents came from a Master Page.

They will in some situations act like they are locked, and if you need to make certain changes to them you need to right-click on the Master Page layer and choose Edit Detached.

I think choosing the same (orange) color to indicate completely different things (Symbol and Master Page) was a mistake.

Master Pages are implemented by Symbols, but I agree that a different colour would help distinguish them.

I don't think the method of implementation is very interesting for users. For example, the use of Symbols on Master Pages is really successful.

Some people prefer knowledge to ignorance, so speak for yourself. I provided an explanation for the colour being the same. I agreed with you that a different colour would be beneficial.
