Windowposition when clicking the green + button

Recommended Posts

When opening a new Window in Publisher (or Photo or Designer) and click the green button with Alt/Option (see pic1) pressed, the main window should fit in the remaining space below and beside the toolbars (like in Indesign. pic2). Actually it fits in the whole screen and the windowbuttons are hidden under the Publisher-toolbars (pic3), which makes it unusable.

cheers, Ingo

This is unfortunately one of the current issues with Separated Mode.
Regardless of additionally pressing the Alt key you toggle with the "green button" in APub to fullscreen mode (Ctrl-Cmd-F).
When toggling it also appears to move the displayed page in the document window.

As a workaround when working with various document windows I always select "View" > "Merge All Windows" (+ shortcut assigned) for any new document and switch between documents via their tabs – and do avoid this way a need to touch the documents window size or position. Unfortunately you can't set Merged Windows as default in Separated Mode.
