Q: How do I warp text into a custom drawn shape?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've been deep-diving on google and youtube for a couple of hours now trying to find a tutorial on how to warp text into a custom shape I've made. I've found plenty of tutorials for illustrator, but nobody seems to have one for Designer. The illustrator tutorial does not translate very well into designer and I would really just love some help in order to have my design meet what's in my head. I've drawn lips and would like to put two words into the lips. I'm having a tough time figuring this out and it's proving to be quite the headache. I'd really appreciate any help you have to offer! Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the Affinity forums!

Designer currently doesn't have a warping tool like Illustrator. Affinity Photo has a warping tool, but the tool results in rasterised output, not vector output. There are freeware alternatives such as Inkscape which can produce warped vector objects that can be used in Designer.
