Gmit
Hi there, can you ellaborate or even better make an example file where you can´t use the inpainting tool, because it´s crashing without notice? Because i can´t replicate that, my Installation is stable and the inpainting tool causes no issues.

But Publisher doesn't have an inpainting tool unless you're using the Photo Persona. So, please clarify the situation. Are you using the Photo Persona in Publisher? And, if so, are you editing a Publisher page, or do you have an embedded or linked file on the page, and you've used Edit Image (or Edit Document) to edit it separately, and then switched to the Photo Persona? If you are editing an embedded or linked file, what kind of file is it? danzefirelli
The image is linked. The editing is done in Photo persona from Publisher. Also, there is another thing that it looks weird in Publisher. When editing in Publisher (in Photo Persona) and doing a basic contrast level the quality of the image edit is cheap (looks very weird - low quality). If I edit the same picture in Affinity Photo looks good. I draw the conclusion that Photo Persona is not the same with Affinity Photo and does sometimes a low quality job, at least in this specific case...
