Jeremy_Waller
Greetings Malayali, I have been looking at your picture on and off since you posted it here. I cannot put my finger on it but that dark blue background seems too dark. Why is it so blue? Given you used a kit lens: that bokeh (out of focus background) does not look "too bad". That depth of focus is narrow (look at the out of focus petal) - quite good really. Can you tell us about the camera settings you used to get that narrow depth of field. That's my two bob's worth. Jeremy.

Just wanted to make it "suitable" for a wallpaper! That's all. 😃Here is untouched version. 3 hours ago, Jeremy_Waller said: Can you tell us about the camera settings you used to get that narrow depth of field. massive.art
I think desaturating the back ground color will remove the false nature of the color. Objects in a distance are always a softer/ less saturated color. The value seems too high for the blues because our eyes want the back ground colors to have a lower saturation value. malayali 1 Quote i7 8700k, CoolerMax Air Cooled, 32g HyperX RAM 3200Hz, ASUS ROG Strix MTHRBRD, 2070 GPU 1.5 Tb Solid State Storage Huion KAMVAS Pro 16 Tablet
Jeremy_Waller
Greetings Malayali, , I actually prefer the untouched version. Suggestions: 1. You can accentuate the flower using the curves adjustment. 2. Make the flower the subject of the photo by putting it in the centre of the frame. To get excellent colour representation have you considered using an 18% grey card. ? Jeremy. malayali
