Welcome to the forum,

How are you accessing the file, Network, Portable Device (USB)? Maybe a bad transfer to the portable device, try another portable device?

Does the file that windows says is damaged still open on the Mac?

Thank you! :-)

I have been working on several affinity files (Publisher, Photo and Designer) in my home office over the last months. I closed all files and transferred them via WeTransfer to my Windows PC in the office. None of the files can be opened there.

Does it make any difference if you zip them up on the Mac and then unzip them on the Windows PC?

Unfortunately, that makes no difference.
I've tried everything I can think of. I have zipped and unzipped the files via WeTransfer and e-mail. Nothing works, the files cannot be opened.

Are there any unusual characters in the file names?

As a test, maybe try changing one of the file names to something very simple on the Windows computer & seeing if that makes any difference?

What all files actually have in common is a _ (underscore) in the file name.
I will test if this is the culprit ...

If all other options are failing, can you physically transfer them via a memory stick?

Are you still having this issue or did copying via USB work?

thank you for asking. it turns out that the old version of Affinity was still installed on my computer in the office. Normally this works automatically, that's why I hadn't paid attention to it in the beginning, but now everything works!
