kanihoncho
The tab feature in designer is pretty useless. Before I spend time doing this with a complicated tab setup, can I import tabbed text boxes from publisher into designer without tabs getting screwed up?. Joachim_L
First: Yes, you can, what I tested shortly. You can even copy tables from APu to AD. Second: Where is the difference working with tabs in AD and APu except for showing special characters? Third: Maybe I misinterpreted your question ... kanihoncho
there is no tab ruler to show where tabs are located in AD and you have to enter numbers manually to set tabs. In AP there is a tab ruler where you can select the tab in the ruler and move it around and the text moves with the tab. Very intuitive for visually spacing text tabs rather than entering regular spacing increments. Every time you mess with tabs in AD the text jumps around and you can't create any accurate spacing . . .

If you need that function, why not just stay in Publisher? Why copy the text frame over when you can just do all the work in Publisher directly? kanihoncho
Publisher is my least favorite app of the three. I'm most likely going back to InDesign . . .
walt.farrell
I like it for the integration it provides between Photo and Designer via StudioLink, and the extra text-based functions it provides over those in Designer. Even if I were not using it for heavy publishing work, that would be worth the cost, to me.
