CaptainAthalius
hi. i just downloaded affinity photo on my ipad a few days ago. not sure which version but im guessing the newest one. i made a few brushes by duplicating one that i liked and moved it to another folder. i changed the "brush nozzles" etc. i exited my artwork and closed the app and now all of my brushes are reset to the base brush i used to create them. help?? i really want to be able to make my brushes and keep them
Staff Chris B Posted May 26, 2020 Staff Share Posted May 26, 2020 Hey CaptainAthalius, welcome to the forums. Can you tell me exactly what you did and what settings you changed? I did the following: Made a new category and named it 'Test' Duplicated the first Basic brush Moved it to the Test category Changed the Hue to Random in Dynamics Tested the brush Immediately closed the app and reloaded Brush was working (had to change the brush colour from black to a random colour to see the Hue change). CaptainAthalius
I created a new folder which I just named “brushes” as I couldn’t think of anything at the moment. Then I duplicated the brush tip marker and moved it to the new folder. I changed the “brush nozzles” and then luminance settings. I logged out and In several times that day and the brush was fine, but it randomly changed when I logged in again. It was back to how the original brush tip marker was. (excuse any wrong spellings etc English isn’t my first language)
Staff Chris B Posted May 27, 2020 Staff Share Posted May 27, 2020 Thanks for the explanation. I cannot think why this would happen. The only thing I noticed was when launching the app after creating the brushes, the colour reset to black and white so the Hue didn't work—I had to change the colour of the brush for it to work. CaptainAthalius
Hi, idk if anyone will still read this but I thought I’d see if anyone found a solution. I still have the same problem unfortunately it’s not a huge problem and I’m not super bothered by it. I don’t change much about the original brush and I really don’t use a lot of custom brushes but still. I’d love to see if this is maybe fixable on my part, idk I might be doing something wrong
