Transfering Affinity to a New Computer

Recommended Posts

If your new computers are the same operating system as your old one, there is no problem about installing Affinity on any other computer that you control. Just download the installer as you did before. If you need serial number, it  will be the same as before.

If your new computers are different OS, then you will need to pay for new downloads. Note that Mac and iPad have a different OS.

Where is the serial number? Unfortunately, I have a bad memory, and I have no idea where I put it.

You should have received an email from Serif when you made your initial purchase. This includes your serial number.  Failing that, try logging into your Account on the Affinity Store.

I will happily buy another license for this software, but would I also have to repurchase the digital add-on content? I'm not against the idea, just curious.

Hi Kyle Gunderson,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
You didn't specify to what additional content are you referring to but in principle no. Just add it/import to the program as you did for the first computer.

Okay, thank you. I didn't specify because I adore your software and will buy anything I can. I'm just moving to a new operating system soon and wanted to take my favorite graphics software with me as easily as possible. Thank you for your support and great business model!

                                                                Sincerely,
