Eagerbob
If you use "save as" and a file with the same filename already exists you get a warning that a file or folder with the same name already exists. If you choose to overwrite the file the app crashes. Is repeatable and happens with new files too. I am on a MBP running Mojave. Publisher is 1.8.
thomaso
It is a known issue, unfortunately continuing in various app updates. It still happens to me, meanwhile in v1.8.3, and also v.1.8.4.651 beta. Staff Gabe Posted May 26, 2020 Staff Share Posted May 26, 2020 We can't replicate this here, even with Separate Mode Any chance for a screen recording of this in action please?

Then it can also be useful to move the toolbar to a different, custom position, e.g. from top to bottom of its screen. Note that Separate Mode doesn't necessarily mean you want to have document windows separately. I prefer to merge document windows whenever one gets opened. I just need Separate Mode for the custom arrangement of panels and toolbar. ( It's also good to know that fullscreen mode then enlarges the document window unwanted behind panels & and toolbar, which were custom placed in not-fullscreen around the document window. ) Smaller, lower screen with panels and system menubar. All document windows get opened there (unfortunately always hidden behind the panels): Larger screen for document windows & custom toolbar position: Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
Eagerbob
Ok, that explains it well. I do have a 4K monitor connected, but I close the lid of the MBP so that I have just one big screen. I still have to find my way to around the program and arrange it such that I have everything within easy reach.
