Rotate and Export

Recommended Posts

I have just bought AF for iPad after years using Photoshop. I have an image which I have rotated but when I want to export the rotated image i find that it hasn’t rotated in a saved  jpeg format but is still the same as the original.

Help with this would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have simply rotated the canvas and not the image on the canvas. That would result in the outcome you described.

You can rotate your image using the Transform Studio or the selection box rotation handle using the Move tool. You might then need to unclip/recliner the canvas to the new shape.

Guys, I have worked it out it is down to using Orientation which changed and saved changed image.

That's what DM1 said, in the transform studio.

As I posted above earlier Transform studio didn’t work for me

You probably didn’t have the 'layers' selected and Move tool on, so rotation action was applied to nothing. Document orientation works at 'Document' level so object/image selections and tools not needed. Transform studio works at object level, rotating only what you choose (select) to rotate. This provides greater flexibility. 🙂
