blending the page number box into the photo

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

The page number box won't let me move (Arrange) it forward or backward.  So, I'm stuck with a white box on the picture(s).  Is there a way to move the page number box backwards?

Or any other suggestions how to get that white box out of the picture?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

If it's on the Master page, go to the master page and put a transparent background instead of the white one.

You can also modify the layer independently from the Master page, right-click on the layer and use ""modify detached" or similar options to modify it without modifying the Master page.

Hi Wosven,

Thanks for the reply.

The page numbers are set in the master page.

I used the Rectangle Tool and put a a rectangle over the master page and set the opacity to 0.  I adjusted the layering.  Nothing changed.  Am I doing this correctly?

From the screenshot, it seems it's the text frame that's got a white background.

If you first used a rectangle with white background before converting it to text frame, the simplest is to create another text frame with no background at the same position, and cut and paste your page number in it, after this you can delete the white rectangle.

Hi, can I check something? I'm trying to change the background colour of this text frame. It's not working. The only thing that changes is the outline of the text frame.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank you so much.

(please ignore the picture below. Can't get rid of it)

You should be able to click on the Fill box (currently orange/red) then click on the "none" icon:

(To delete the extraneous image, Edit your post, and in the image panel at the bottom you should see a trash can icon on each image. Just click it on the image you want to delete.)

Go to the character panel and change/remove the Background Text color there.

Both the Text Frame and Character panel can set the background text/frame color for Artistic text so recheck the Text Frame color as well after changing the color in the Character Panel
