Equirectangular projection sharpness loss problem

Recommended Posts

Hi, my purpose is to retouch my equirectangular panoramas using the live projection.
So i choose from the menù the voice "Equirectangular projection" and I start retouching using for example the clone brush.
Once finished I choose again the edit live projection voice from the menù to navigate to another point of the panorama and then make another retouch.
After each retouch-navigation process the panorama looses sharpness progressively.

Is there a way to avoid this problem?

Thanks to everyone

This is something we are aware of and it has been logged with the developers. At this time the only option would to not repeatably use the Equirectangular projection feature in your workflow.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Mitigate blurring when converting to / from equirectangular projection.) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking that this issue has now been resolved for you,

Which I suppose is why they used the word "mitigated" instead of "eliminated"?
