Can't find brush or style used on active vector

Using AfDes 1.8.3.641 on Win10 x64

When using different brushes or styles on vectors, it is not possible to find out later, what brush or style has been used.

To test: Draw a few lines with various brushes, use some styles. In the panels, the currently active brush or style will be highlighted.

If you select an existing vector, the panels do not switch to the brush or style that was used on that vector.

As the discussion below shows, there seems to be no way to get at that information. This should be seen as a bug.

This is an important observation and I really wonder why there hasn't been an answer in almost 2 years!

I found myself in exactly the same situation today and I feel it's really annoying not to be able to identify a brush used for some curve after the fact. Even if there possibly have been some modifications done via the Properties panel the brush used should still be highlighted in the brushes panel (and possibly its name should be indicated somewhere in its properties panel, too). If there have been modifications (except from stroke weight) this could be indicated by some symbol (like a red dot after its name).

If by answer you mean "why hasn't it been implemented" there could be many reasons, related either to development priorities or to available development resources.

If you mean "why has there been no response here", possibly because Serif generally doesn't respond in this section of the forums. They use the ideas here for planning, but do not comment on their future plans.
