Designing a gradient is a slow process

Recommended Posts

Especially when the color picker tool is involved. Let's say I want to make a layer with an FX gradient.

  1. Open Layer FX
  2. Select gradient overlay
  3. Select gradient
  4. Select a gradient point
  5. Click color
  6. Click and drag color picker to a point on screen
  7. Click the color pickers color
  8. Click the gradient overlay again
  9. Select the 2nd gradient point
  10. Click color
  11. Click and drag color picker to a point on screen
  12. Click the color pickers color
  13. Click the gradient overlay again

Plus if I have to tab to another application to read a hex code the color panel is gone. If you forgot to click the little color circle after selecting the color you have to repeat the process.

This really needs to be optimised and have better UX.

Preferably just click the gradient point and the color selection is already there. The color picker should just assign the color automatically instead of the tedious process it is now.

Thanks for reading.
