Juan T Posted May 15, 2020 Share Posted May 15, 2020 I got a text that I want to curve by itself, and a circular icon in SVG and PNG format. In both I tried to position the frame text tool to make the text curve and write curve text in the circular icon. I also tried to right click to convert to curves (ctrl-return). And lastly tried Layer then convert to curves. None worked. How do you make curve texts in this situation? I'm primarily using Affinity Designer. You do that by creating an ellipse over the SVG or PNG and attaching text as per the video above. Upload your SVG or png and what text you want and i'll show you. To curve text in the circular icon, you need to create your curved/circular path superimposed onto your icon. Then you write your text on this path (which will then disappear). Having the text on the canopy shape required separate text paths to better position the text, each word of the text requires kerning and tracking and also moving the text down from the baseline 100% Another example...
